It definately can be a struggle at times to 'gel' with colleagues, especially if we have had differing upbringings and beliefs. What is important is that you have become aware that there was an issue, and that you are actively working towards resolving the conflict. Finding areas that you both have in common is one way of bonding, or as in your reflection, providing support during your practice.
